Hosted Classes:
Interested in Hosting a K9 Medic Class We’ll Come to You!
New Flat-Rate Lecture/Demo Format:
If you're not sure if you can meet the minimum class size and/or your budget does not allow for the full hands-on program described below, you may also be interested in our Lecture/Demo Class Format. Jo-Anne Brenner, K9 Medic Director and Program Founder, will come to your location and lecture/demo along with her two K9s to as many students as you like for a single flat rate fee of $5000 plus travel costs. You are welcome to invite as few or as many students as your facility will accomodate. The class will be customized to your particular group ahead of time and demos will be as interactive as the class size allows. There are no cadaver labs, skills stations or scenarios and the overall class is 3 hours shorter.
Original Fully Interactive Format:
You provide a suitable location for the classroom and skills/scenario stations and we bring everything else. We select instructors that will fit your specific tactical/wilderness/EMS needs and will cover the 8:1 instructor ratio. And we bring all training equipment and student supplies.
We require a minimum of 30 students, as that will provide the best multidisciplinary instructor set, skills rotations, and best learning environment. Maximums are typically limited only by the training space available.
There are two models to choose from!
Closed Classes:
In a Closed Class, you are in complete control of who attends the class. You choose who to invite and who to allow into the class. You are responsible for payment of all students. We require a non-refundable 15% booking deposit to hold your dates, and a further 35% payment 6 weeks prior to the class. The remainder is due one week before the class.
Hosting agencies receive an automatic 2 free students and additional 1 student per 10 paid students over the 30 minimum.
Open Classes:
An Open Class may be suitable for groups that are too small to meet the 30 student minimum. In this case, we will work with you to invite students from other groups and geographies. This is best suited to weekend classes near a large airport and we require at least 3-4 months to assist in marketing the program, depending on how many extra students you require. As we partner, we’ll determine what your agency’s minimum student count will be and base payments accordingly.
Tuition:
Tuition for most urban centers is $350.00 per student. This includes all instructors, training equipment and student supplies. We ask that you provide a training facility with classroom and scenario capacity that accepts the use of K9 cadavers. Tuition for classes outside of major airport access or requiring us to provide a training location will be priced accordingly.
And, if you are hosting a closed class, you are eligible to receive an automatic 2 free students and additional 1 student per 10 paid students over the 30 minimum.
